Rex Ryan repeated much of what he had said about the New York Jets’ quarterback situation after the debacle of Saturday night’s win over the Giants—just with much less animation.
The message still was that he was not ready to announce whether rookie or injured , would start the regular-season opener.

“Again, there are several factors that we’re focused on. Ryan repeated that, from the start of training camp, “There is no timetable on naming a starting quarterback.’’
